Introduction

This merchant is using PayPal to process payments and using the SoftSeller Digital Products Distribution System to fulfill orders. SoftSeller is a service of Interauction Services, LLC.

We respect your privacy and your rights, and we endeavor to fully protect both. This Privacy Policy describes how SoftSeller collects and uses order information. Briefly stated, SoftSeller only collects and uses information that is necessary to fulfill the order, and we do not share any information with any party other than the merchant, unless legally required by duly authorized law enforcement agencies.

PayPal is the payment processor

Payments processed by PayPal are in full compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Please see PayPal's Privacy Policy for full details. Please note that PayPal does not expose any payment card information to merchants or to SoftSeller.

Personal information

PayPal provides buyers' names and email addresses to merchants and to SoftSeller, and SoftSeller collects and saves that data to facilitate servicing your order, i.e. providing you with product download links or registration keys.

For goods requiring shipment, PayPal can also provide merchants with shipping addresses, but the digital products that are distributed by SoftSeller do not require any shipping address. (Since some merchants do sell both digital products and products that must be shipped, if address information is present in the order data, we do save that information and make it available to the merchant, but SoftSeller does not use it for any purpose.)

SoftSeller will record your name and email address (and shipping address, if provided) and will make them available to your merchant as part of the transaction details, but not to any other parties unless legally required.

Other transaction information

SoftSeller receives the order information form PayPal in the form of standardized Instant Payment Notification (IPN) messages. These IPNs contain "need to know" information about the order including the payment amount and the items ordered. SoftSeller saves a subset of this information, which is also available in PayPal, as a convenience to merchants. Again, we do not share any order information with any parties other than the merchant who received the PayPal payment, unless legally required.

Merchant access to transaction information

Merchants must log in to the password-protected, SSL-secure SoftSeller system to view order information, and they are able to view only their orders.

Usage logging

When you access your product download link or registration key, SoftSeller will log the time and date of that activity. This is so that merchants can verify that the product was "delivered," and so that they may set limits to how many download attempts may be made.

Incidental data

Web requests typically provide information such as your IP address and your browser type. All web requests will be recorded in our web server logs, but SoftSeller does not currently use any of this incidental information except for troubleshooting purposes.
